AI Editing Chord Diagrams Lyrics Instant Playback MIDI Export
Sonorus V2 songwriting canvas: multiple song sections with chord grids, playback controls, and harmonic-function colors

Everything you need to write your next song.

From your first idea to a full arrangement. Sonorus handles the music theory so you can focus on the music.

Describe it, hear it

Type a mood, genre, or vibe. Sonorus generates a musically coherent chord progression grounded in real harmony and voice-leading rules.

Refine with words, not menus

Natural-language editing powered by AI. Describe the change you want and Sonorus modifies your chords while keeping the rest of your progression intact.

Pick chords by ear and eye

A chord palette that knows music theory. Chords are grouped by harmonic function and colored by tension. Switch between guitar tabs and piano diagrams instantly.

Hear it, export it, take it to your DAW

Play back any section or your entire arrangement with live chord highlighting. Export as MIDI - sections, repeats, and all - and open it straight in Ableton, Logic, or wherever you work.

Build real song structures

Add Verses, Choruses, Bridges, Intros, Outros - each with their own chords, key, and repeat count. Arrange them into a full song, not just a single loop.

From idea to MIDI in four steps

No theory degree required.

01

Start a song

Name it, set the vibe, and describe your first section. Sonorus handles the rest.

02

Generate harmony

One click generates a full chord progression matched to your mood, genre, and section type.

03

Shape your sound

Swap chords from the color-coded picker, ask the AI to "make it darker", duplicate sections, transpose keys. Jot down lyrics right in the canvas while the harmony is fresh.

04

Export and produce

When it sounds right, export. Your full multi-section arrangement becomes a single MIDI file ready for any DAW.

Built for how you actually write

Real music theory, not random notes

Every chord Sonorus generates follows voice-leading rules and harmonic function. The output sounds like music because it's built on how music actually works.

Structured songs, not single loops

Verse. Chorus. Bridge. Intro. Outro. Each section has its own chords, key, and repeat count. You're building an arrangement, not generating a 4-bar clip.

You stay in control

AI assists, you decide. Swap any chord from the picker. Edit with a prompt. Transpose the whole song. Sonorus never takes the wheel. It hands you better options.

Questions? Answered.

Do I need to know music theory?

Nope. Sonorus handles key selection, chord voicing, and harmonic function for you. Just describe what you want - "sad verse", "upbeat chorus" - and it figures out the theory. That said, if you do know theory, the chord picker gives you full control over every harmonic choice.

What DAWs does the MIDI export work with?

All of them. The export is a standard MIDI file. Ableton Live, Logic Pro, FL Studio, GarageBand, Reaper, Pro Tools, Cubase - if it reads MIDI, it works.

Is Sonorus free?

Yes. Sonorus is free during beta. Just open it and start writing.

How is this different from other AI music tools?

Most AI music tools generate audio clips you can't edit. Sonorus generates chord progressions - structured, editable, exportable as MIDI. You keep full control over every note, and you finish the production in your own DAW with your own sounds.

Can I edit the chords after generating them?

Absolutely - that's the point. Use the AI to describe changes ("make the bridge darker"), swap chords manually from the harmonic picker, or do both. Every chord in every section is fully editable.

Can I write lyrics in Sonorus?

Yes. Each section has a lyrics panel so your words and chords live in the same place. Write while the harmony is fresh, then export the whole thing when you're ready.

Your next chorus is one prompt away.
